NJROTC Cadets Visit Naval Station EverettPort Angeles, Wash. – Thirty-eight Port Angeles High School (PAHS) Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) cadets went travelled Friday, May 26 to the USS Sampson. They were accompanied by chaperones and their PAHS teachers, Captain Jon Picker and Senior Chief Justin Beck.

“The USS Sampson is a destroyer (DDG 102) that is stationed at Naval Station Everett and is the top DDG on the west coast,” Captain Picker said.

“Cadets had the opportunity to view various areas on the ship - missile deck, flight deck bridge, combat information center, berthing, galley, wardroom - and hear about life in the U.S. Navy and the various skills the Navy is seeking,” he explained.
