Family & Community Resources

Our reopening plan represents our best efforts to prioritize student, staff and community safety while continuing to provide a quality education in a new and fluid environment. We learned a lot in the spring when the pandemic began, and we received a great amount of useful feedback from staff, students and parents. Our comprehensive back-to-school plan includes options that allow families to choose what best fits their particular situation, while also preparing us to respond quickly to the many and varied pandemic phases Port Angeles may encounter.

We have planned for many scenarios, as well as the transitions between them. Our goal is to return to in-person instruction as soon as possible based on the guidance of public health officials. To view our full Reopening and Response Plan, view our Reopening Status page.

Starting the year at a distance (for the majority) is not how we hoped to begin the 2020-21 school year, but we are determined to provide the best learning experience possible. Our teachers and staff are eager to connect with students and families and begin providing support. We will continually re-assess the conditions in our local area and work with our local and state health authorities. When it is safe to do so, we will adjust our stage upward. As always, our priority is the health, safety and well-being of our students and staff. Thank you for your continued partnership and engagement. Together, we can have a safe, successful school year.
