August 19, 2017 - Back to School Event for Families in NeedPort Angeles, Wash. - The annual Back to School Event for Port Angeles families in need is set for this Saturday, August 19, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Jefferson Elementary, 218 East Twelfth Street. Many agencies, businesses, and service clubs in the Port Angeles community are partnering to host the event.

School Supplies will be provided free to students, kindergarten through twelfth grades, as well as other services which assist in preparing students for a successful back school time.  

UPDATE! Sorry, no haircuts this year!  Information regarding transportation and free and reduced lunch applications provided!  

County Health & Human Services Department staff will provide vaccinations.  The fee is $23.00 per vaccination.  There is no charge if a child is covered through Medicaid WA State Health Insurance (Provider One Cards). 

No advance sign up is required to attend the Back to School event!  

Many community organizations will participate too, enabling participants to learn about local opportunities for students and families.  

Donations and school supplies are still being collected for distribution at the event.
