13 PAHS Students Letter in Community Service
Youth United

Thirteen students from Port Angeles High School earned a varsity letter for community service for the 2018-19 school year through the United Way of Clallam County’s Youth United program.  They are Sindija Bahmane, Fatima Bandukwala, Betty Cameron, Cassidy Fish, Anthony Francis, Jenna Gates, Lucas Gavin, Liam Getzin, Kathryn Guttormsen, Abby Sanders, Emily Sirguy, Kiara Schmitt, and Henry Shaw.

In partnership with the Port Angeles School District and local nonprofit organizations, students who volunteer 145 or more hours of service in a year can earn their school varsity letter, the same as those earned by athletes and musicians.

United Way CEO Christy Smith presented the letters to each student during the student recognition portion of the May 23 school board meeting held at the Lincoln Center.
