- Port Angeles High School (PAHS) Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) cadets participated in their first competition of the year in Oregon City last weekend.
“Port Angeles High School cadets returned home from their first competition with spirits soaring,” said Captain Jon Picker, senior naval science instructor. “The cadets returned home with three top-three finishes.”
“The Drill Team took first place in their category. Color Guard Team 1 placed first, followed by Color Guard Team 2, with a second place win.
Team 1 cadets are: Kylee Reid, Erin Edwards, Ben Yesiki and Austin Woods.
Team 2 cadets are: Hailey Hollingsworth, Cody Brooks, Zach Parrill and Edwin Albright.
Cadets Bryson Schafer and Benjamin Yesiki earned a third place win in the Dual Armed Exhibition Drill.
Kylee Reid earned a second place win as Drill Team Commander.
The next competition for the PAHS NJROTC cadets will be Saturday, February 11 at Bethel High School in Spanaway.
