Dollar Drive - Help North Olympic Firefighters Beat CancerStevens Middle School held a Dollar Drive on Friday, February 22 to help fund and find a cure for cancer.

“The students donated $682.25 this year,” said Rob Edwards, technology instructor and organizer of the Stairclimb assembly.

A team of North Olympic Firefighters will participate in the 28th annual LLS Firefighter Stairclimb on Sunday, March 10 in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).  Before ascending the Columbia Center in Downtown Seattle, the group has been fundraising in the name of funding and finding a cure.

Firefighters will climb the Columbia Center’s 69 flights of stairs, 1311 steps, 788 vertical feet of elevation!  Their goal is to raise $10,000 to beat cancer.
