Kinnear Pierzchala has been selected to be one of only two high school students from the state of Washington to play with the John Philip Sousa National High School Honors Band in Boston, MA this summer. Only 120 high school students are selected for this distinction.

Soroptimist Jet Set Spelling Bee 2018

The 2018 Spelling Bee, sponsored by the Soroptimist Jet Set and the Friends of the Library, was held June 1 at the Vern Burton Center. In the grades 4 – 6 competition, Dry Creek sixth grader Mikayla DeCou took first place and Jefferson fifth grader Cami Bohman took second place. They each received a Bee Trophy and a gift bag.
